For automobile dealers, this may include: Dealership or business name. Business address. Business telephone number and email address. Dealer license number and state of issuance. Information reasonably necessary to determine whether a dealer license or business registration is valid and active. Other information voluntarily provided during registration or verification. Southern Vehicle may verify dealer information using publicly available government records, state motor vehicle or dealer licensing databases, and, where appropriate, third-party verification service providers. Verification information may be used to confirm the legitimacy of a user or dealership, determine whether an account should be approved, prevent fraudulent or unauthorized activity, investigate suspected Terms of Use violations, protect users and the Site, and comply with legal requirements. Dealer verification does not constitute an endorsement, guarantee, certification, or representation by Southern Vehicle regarding any dealer, seller, vehicle, listing, transaction, or other user of the Site. Users remain responsible for performing their own due diligence before entering into any transaction.6. VIN and Vehicle Information When you submit a vehicle identification number (“VIN”) or other vehicle information, Southern Vehicle may use that information to assist with creating, verifying, completing, or displaying a vehicle listing. VIN information may be processed through third-party vehicle-data or VIN-decoding services to obtain information such as year, make, model, trim, specifications, or other vehicle-related information. Southern Vehicle does not guarantee that information obtained through a VIN-decoding or vehicle-data service is complete or error-free. Sellers are responsible for reviewing their listings and ensuring that vehicle information is accurate before publication.7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies Southern Vehicle may use cookies and similar technologies to: Keep users logged into their accounts. Remember user preferences. Maintain Site functionality and security. Understand how visitors use the Site. Measure and improve Site performance. Detect suspicious or fraudulent activity.
